How much was 200 Pound in 1984 in UK? The Article says that the beginning price of EP64 was this and it is cheap, and barely beliveable.
-
Maybe cheap compared to other home computers at the time (but I don't remember that particularly) but £200 was still a lot of money

how many was the monthly payment at england?

It is very difficult to compare £200 in 1984 with todays prices and wages. Very approximately, just with "gut instinct" I would say £200 in 1984 felt like £500 feels today. But I might be wrong! A top spec Samsung Smart phone costs around that to buy outright today so maybe that is a good comparison - state-of-the-art electronics.

I have just managed to get hold of the Feb 1985 magazine so I will scan and upload when it arrives...

The Sinclair ZX81 in kit form, when it was released in 1982, was GBP 99.99 - an unbelievable price for an unbelievably non-computer.
Compared to that, the EP was cheap at GBP200 two years later.
