Just that, my recently restored EP64 lacks the joystick cap. Has anyone a spare one?, are they available anywhere (maybe a 3D printer batch)?
-
I have a couple of 3d printed ones. I can have a look tomorrow and see
What colours are there.

I would appreciate one of these too please if still available?
Thanks,
Andy

I have found a red or yellow one. The yellow one fits well but the red
One needs the inner circumference opening slightly to get over the
Joystick part in the unit itself.
I will try and get some more done next week.

I also want one green cap!

Your fortune, that this an English topic and I can send you in Hungarian tastily only here and there... :-D

Any news on this topic?, a new batch would be great, specially if they're green!
-
HI there,
I have been chasing their production. I am still waiting and will try and get a
timescale in the next day or so.

@Bagpuss22
Did you ever manage to find out about these?
-
Hello!!
Good news and bad news.... ;-)
BAD NEWS.. the 3d printer chappy is taking just too long so was looking elsewhere.
GOOD NEWS.. I sent an original topper to 'BluesBrothers' on Amibay and he is going to 'cast' the original and get a batch of moulded ones made, so watch this space.. :ds_icon_cheesygrin:

I've found this (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:405294/#files) model-script to print Enterprise caps with a 3d printer. It seems that once created they need to be finished with sand paper or lacked.
-
The rough top is missing. Probably the current 3D printers not enoght good for reproduce fully the original?
-
I've seen other models done with 3D printer and they seem made with beach sand, i.e. granulated are very porous.
You're right, the current technique is painful.... and not fairly cheap.
This is only good to make a quick approximation to a mould.
-
The ones I had done on the 3d printer were quite good,
had the rough top for extra grip and were quite good.
I have lent out my topper to a chap who was going to get a
mould made up so hopefully we can get this addressed as
there are a few users looking for new toppers.

In Hungary we see green cap only at the English manuals cover. Then every Hungarian EP owner started dreaming about have a green joy cap :-)

Mr. Bagpuss22,
I think you have to meet this process to fulfil the dream of the hungarian EP owners, please look at this link:
