I think there is a need for a crossdev tracker for enterprise...
Then maybe we could see some original songs pop up from time to time.
Now I think that even when someone gets interested with composing for the enterprise, then he is instantly taken back by the lack of tools to actually make the music...
It would be also easier to "make" and share instruments when having a tracker...

So, anyone here mybe has some experience with how trackers work (from the inside) and (what's more important) has time (I guess a project like that would need at leasty about a year to get a first basic release (reading it now I find that a bit too optimistic)) and knows dave quite well (or someone could help)? Maybe no knowledge about programming a tracker and how dave works would actually be the fun part of it ;P.
I'm currently working on two projects so I kind of lack the time... I hope to finish one soon, but I already had other plans after that:(... (don't hate)

I guess that there won't be any volunteer here as there are no musicians (or so I think) on the forum and they'd be the most interested in having such tool...
Now it's too difficult to make use of the dave sound... (at least for me)

EDIT: found this on the CPCwiki: https://github.com/AugustoRuiz/WYZTracker
But haven't looked into it yet... However it's a full source for an AY tracker by Augusto Ruiz...
Don't know about any other 8bit trackers with source code...

there is an tracker for ep:
http://ep128.hu/Ep_Util/Music_Box.htm
sad, but it cant handle all of the EP capables, as I remember (I wrote many musics with it).
but now I have searched and found "style" parameter on this link, so we can use the filters, ring modulators... hm...

my main purpuse in this topic is to make special, original sound with ep! I wrote many music with my own music editor (lost), but I never achieve good sound... the ring modulation and that filter is not enough for musical sounding I think... :(

here you can find most of my ep musics. most of them are created with my own music editor, and sometimes I have try to achieve special EP-ish sounding... was a hard work and I have failed :D

The problem with musicbox is that no one really knows how to use it anymore:D. As we've tried to figure it out half a year ago or so (https://enterpriseforever.com/programming/how-to-put-a-musicbox-tune-into-program-code/). I just gave up and will be using vortex tracker with the available converter tool...

I'm no chiptune artist but the ay doesn't have ring modulation and filters and people make good chiptunes with it. But it has the envelope...I wish dave had something like the ay for the sawtooth wave sound... Don't know if the separate noise channels of dave are a good thing or bad... but I guess ay has it better to be able to mix it into one channel...

Your music is sample-based and I'm rather looking for "plain" chiptune music capabilities of dave.

Sorry for kinda going off-topic

check it again, most of them are simple dave chip musics :)
and as I hear them again now, I remember and I hear, I used the dave specialites heavily! for example ork demo 1 musics!

ah I see
you hear "most popular songs" - do not. hear the EP albums only!
there are other non-EP musics at this link

I checked earlier ORK megademos, but then I did not recognize the special sounds, you found a lot which sounds well.

ork mega 1:
https://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a47206/enterprise-128-ork-megademo-1-musix

song 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 11 are uses the ringmodulation, and the filters etc heavily!
and... yes... I think this is the maximum of the EP sound specialites.
but you can show better :)
