Extension/ROM version:
* gunzip_6.s (78.78 kB - downloaded 115 times.)

This runs as an application, so it still quits to the ENTERPRISE logo. Seeking the input file has been removed, it is now possible to read .gz files from the FILE: device or tape.

There is also an experimental new version of UNCOMPRESS (renamed to "uncompres3" to avoid conflicts with the already existing 1.02 version that is present for example in IVIEW.ROM), which is somewhat faster than 1.02, although it could still use more optimization.
* uncompress.s (57.24 kB - downloaded 103 times.)

Some data files for testing:
* symbos.gz (224.91 kB - downloaded 106 times.) - .gz format input file
* symbos.m2 (216.75 kB - downloaded 108 times.) - input file for UNCOMPRESS
* symbosl2.m2 (225.78 kB - downloaded 109 times.) - same as above, but compressed with -minlen 2
* symbosl3.m2 (235.01 kB - downloaded 102 times.) - file compressed with -minlen 3
* symbos_e.gz (224.91 kB - downloaded 109 times.) - corrupt .gz file to test error checking
* symbos_u.bin (452.03 kB - downloaded 106 times.) - uncompressed data file

Cool, and quite fast :)
