You need a new graphics chip and some standard components. You can get the new graphics chip e.g. at eBay.

Ah, MSX-Computers, i love that system :D
Congrats Zozo for the NMS8280. It's a really nice system with the possibility to upgrade it to the MSX2+ standard.
Because of games: You should try some japanese shooters like Space Manbow. This game supports MSX2 and MSX2+.
The problem with MSX1 machines was the missing hardware scrolling. So games like Nemesis, Parodius and other horizontal scrolling games are not really looking good on MSX systems.
If you want to go further with the system you can connect the HxC floppy emulator. Also there is a great flash cartridge that you can get from france, the URL is http://www.msxcartridgeshop.com. And the most informations about the MSX systems you can get at http://www.msx.org

Personally i have one MSX1-system (National FS-4000, a japanese computer with internal thermo printer), a Philips NMS8280 and a Panasonic A1-FX MSX2+. Also a MiST-FPGA computer with an MSX-core :)

The MSX is a fine system, but it's nearly impossible to collect all variations of MSX-computers or MSX Software ;)

It is very strange because Enterprise Computers Gmbh existed for many years, a German version of the Enterprise existed, too (beside the English version), etc
I always thought the Enterprise had a lot of German users
Yes, Enterprise Computers GmbH existed, but i think it was very small compared to Commodore and Atari. There were adverts and previews of the Enterprise in german magazines, but most of the people decided to buy either a Commodore, Atari or Amstrad/Schneider CPC. The rest was splitted into the other systems, where Spectrums, Apples and even TI/99s were more sold in Germany than Enterprises. So some people read abot the Enterprise in magazines, were impressed by the specs, but had never seen an Enterprise for sale in the shops.

OK, and here are the photos of the other systems in the exhibition :)

At the 7th September we had a Retro Fair in Bochum/Germany. As on every of the previous fairs we also had a little exhibition. At the last times we presented some exotic consoles. This time the slogan of the exhibition was "10 homecomputers that you possibly never played in your life"

As you know the Enterprise wasn't very successful in Germany, so beside of some japanese, french and britisch computers we decided that one of the systems should be an Enterprise-Setup. So we showed an Enterprise with EXDOS and a HxC Floppy Emulator and let the people play with it. And it was great. Some visitors knew the name and some adverts of the Enterprise, but until the exhibition they haven't seen an Enterprise in real life. It was great to talk with them and to see that they had much fun with it
I attached some photos of the setup (my "working setup" ;) )
If you would like to see photos of the other systems in the exhibition i can also post photos of them :)

Actually it's also possible to copy the disk images to the SD-card, but you have to choose the disk images manually. With direct access you can copy all the programs to a SD without the necessary to change the disk image. Also with the image selection software you don't need an LCD anymore so i think it's also possible to build a HxC Slim directly into an EXDOS-interface and choose the needed image at booting time ... that's really great news :)

Direct access, not only the images ? So you can use the SD-card as a HDD ? Coooooool :)

It is will be work with any EXDOS.
Sounds great :)

Hmm, but i don't know why Jeff don't put the Enterprise on the list of supported computers. Actually the Enterprise is one of the systems with the most possibilities in combination with the HXC :)

Wow, nice :)
Do you need a special EXDOS or can it also be used with a standard EXDOS ?

Ah nice :) I always wondered why there are these switchable languages on the cart, but with the incompatibility issues it makes sense :)
