The new Spectrum-like games console seems to be in trouble according to BBC news story (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-44319346) but scroll down a bit...look who one of the backers is...Dr Levy!
(Sorry if everyone already knew that, I didn't!)

Oh dear...lots of Levy-hating going on by disgruntled backers who have not received anything, shipping dates repeatedly being missed...sounds familiar! http://www.retro-computers.co.uk (http://www.retro-computers.co.uk)

Yes, I hear about the story, but not a detailed.
I don't understood the original Vega concept: it is a stupid Spectrum parody with few keys only... most important QAOP are also missing... at same time released the Recreated ZX Spectrum, which are looks good, but it is only a BT keyboard for a emulator program on phone... why not put the Vega board to a Recrated case? :-)
Vega+ also not a Spectrum (for me), but least looks a good "kvarcjáték" (I don't know the right English word for these I think about Nintendo Game&Watch series, and their clones. These are very popular at middle of 80's in Hungary. I have a Dragon Fighter (http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Tronica/DragonFighter.htm)), which is runs Spectrum games.
But hard to understood the lot of delays: just need to put the Vega to a new case, add battery and LCD, which are very popular components today...

Disputes among the company directors from what I read!
I have not followed the story of Vega much, it just caught my eye because of David Levy. It is definitely the same Mr Levy - there is a photo. Older than I remember from 30 years ago of course, but so am I :(
