which email do I send pics of labels etc to?
I sent PM to you.
is there a disassembly guide or is it straightforward enough?
It is very simple. In previous post I linked how to disassemble the keyboard.
On this photo are red marked the screws for the keyboard. You can see another 5 screws these needed to removed if you want completly disassemble the machine.
One at the corner of the Serial/Warranty label. I think voiding the warranty don't a big problem after 30 years
but the intact label are very rare todays. If your label intact then very carefully can blend up the corner of label for accessing the screw.
where would the warranty label be (when you ask label intact?, is there a screw under the serial number etc)
At the bottom of machine you see on the photo.
If all screws removed then can lift up the top part of case. Do it very carefully because the keyboard membrane connected to the motherboard! Can broke the connection trails! Firstly lift up the front (keyboard) part of the top, until you can access the membrane connection, then pull out from the motherboard connectors, then can fully remove the top part of case.
Do you tested the machines, keyboard fully working? Very common problem with the 30 years old membranes: it is start broke at the connection, then rows or columns of keys are dead. At this situation can be repaired by cutting broken few milimeters from the connection trails at the end.
