Congratulation! Do you win yesterday on the Ebay the machnines without accessories?

30 years ago where you see the Enterprise? For example PCW show or magazines?

Photos of original Enterprise PSUs.
The most important thing: the outer pole are the positive!

The ZX Spectrum (16/48/+/128/+2) PSUs are compatible but the +2A/+2B/+3 no!
128 or +2 type recommended because higher capacity.

The best starting point this forum! :-) If you have any questions just ask it!

On my page you can download scanned English manuals.
From the ep128.hu you can download all Enterprise softwares.

You can send programs with audio cable from your PC to Enterprise.
With MrPrise TAPir program you can convert programs to WAV, and possible burn these to CD and use diskman as "tape player". Or convert WAVs to MP3 (using very high bitrate!) and MP3 Player also can be used, someone used mobile phone MP3 Player software.

For the first step after the PSU I recommend a SCART cable for the best picture quality.
Sometimes will be on the Ebay, but if you have some electronics experience the easy to build your own.

Like Zozo says a good Speccy PSU will do the trick.

128K+ is 9v 1.85A or a Speccy+2 is 9v 2.1A.

I first saw it previewd in magazines in 82/83 as samurai etc,
then I saw it in flesh at "Scottish Computer Show" in Edinburgh in 83? I think, it was  badged elan at the time,
and was blown away, started saving my pocket money.
By the time I saw one in real life after release 85?(once in a John Menzies computer dept), never seen or touched since...

Great start! The machines have a Basic cartridge?  (On the photos I not see them).
If no then you need it. But you can run machnie code programs without cartridge!

I asked the seller: serial number of 128K machine is 00630, it is a very early machine!
The EP64 is 032285.

Zozo what is the relevance if low serial etc?

Are these two good machines i have bought? Do you think?

Do you need me to open and check mboards etc for you?

On the photos looking good, and important: both have the joystick cap for the internal joystick! This little piace are the first missing part of many machine, near to impossible find spare. (My hope the 3D printing will be common then possible produce spare parts).

Not needed especially if the Serial/Warranty label still intact. I wrote instructions how can detect motherboard version on unopened machine.
Please make photos of serial labels and send to me for the inventory, with details. (Machine with intact label more evidence because can be sure the motherboard not changed.)
I looking for special questions for example exist a EP64 with ISSUE6 board or EP128 with ISSUE5?
From the current data I think the EP128 started with ISSUE6 but some bad ISSUE4 remainded from the early EP64 production, these after repaired put back to the production.
The interesting on the ISSUE4 boards the company name FLAN instead the Enterprise! One name earlyer, and this name only valid for about 1 month (1984 February-March).

Hi Zozo

I have the machines in hand now.

to me both look Issue 4, will confirm 100% by opening up, the 128 has a lot of grime & dirt around keyboard so will need cleaned properly etc.

Unfortunately as expected did not come with anything extra so Ill need to get a basic cartridge, does the same carrt work on both machines? I seem to remember reading the 64 and 128 had different revisions?
