Post by: gflorez on 2017.April.04. 19:59:28
One Spanish friend of mine is plannig to buy on Hungary by Internet, but the seller says that shipping a boxed Enterprise and a boxed original cassette recorder will cost him 80 Euros to Spain.

What do you think?

Probably the seller wants to abuse..

Need to know the weight of the package. And which area of Spain (most of in the Zone 1, some in Zone 2, and some islands in Zone 3).
I use the International EMS express post service of the Hungarian Post company (Nemzetközi EMS gyorsposta).
When I sent machine + PSU then it is about 3.5 kg. The up to 4kg price to Zone 1 is about 44 euros, to Zone 2 about 50.
5kg prices: 47, 54, 6kg: 51, 58

Other companies have a higher prices.

Actually I don't know where my friens lives.... We spoke by PM on Retrowiki.

The offer consists on a boxed complete EP + a boxed original tape recorder.

The seller says:

"Dear gflorez! You are right. In a previous unsuccessful auction I replied to you that the shipping cost would be approx 45 euros. This calculation was based on the prices of the Magyar Posta (Hungarian Post). Anyway I don't trust this service too much, that's why I chose the GLS as a reference. Hopefully this will prevent me and the future owner from unwanted surprises. Cheers - Vaci666"

Zozo, do you trust on the EMS post you allude?

Yes. I used it to Bruce (UK), Prodatron (Germany), edoz (Netherland), ssr86 (Poland).
If I once finished your things    then will be used for you (Spain).
