Private Enterprise & Application Notes
« on: 2006.May.21. 01:49:11 »
Hiya y'all,

First up, thanks Povi for informing me of this new great Enterprise forum.

Just over a week ago my wife and I arrived home after our 3 week holiday to Scotland.
Arianna and I loved it, and you can see our 1000+ photos at my webpage, http://thespider.ath.cx

While I was home, I saw my Enterprise 128, but did not have the time to get it set up again. :(
However, I did take back with me, my Enterprise, EX-DOS, & IS-DOS manuals.
Also...

Private Enterprise Magazine - Numbers 1 to 8

Enterprise Computers Ltd, Application Notes 1 to 28.

These were sent direct to me by Enterprise themselves, way back in the 80's.

Do scans of these two items above exist already in the Enterprise community?
If not, I plan scanning them when I buy my scanner. Hopefully soon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did find an article online which quotes the "Private Enterprise Magazine"...
http://alive.atari.org/alive12/ent64.php

Nice article.

Hiya Zozo,
Great to see you also. Hope you are keeping well my friend.
Life has been getting in the way of computer pleasure again.

Mr.Prise, great to meet you and congratulations on a most excellent forum.
I was on the last forum, but had to give up reading as I cannot read Hungarian, and the online translators do not work very well at all. Love how you have set up this thread in an English speaking only area. Thank you.
Have kept Povi and Zozo as email contacts, and it was through Povi that I found my way here.

I indeed shall scan all of these magazines and notes as soon as I can.
Have to buy a scanner first, but that is planned this upcoming week.

To wet your appetites...

Only the manuals, or with your complete EP config?

The manuals only.
We did not have the luggage capacity to take back the Enterprise 128, & Cumana disk-drive.

Least I have EP32 and ep128emu to play with.

:( send with FEDEX? :-)

The Cumana disk drive unit have built in EXDOS, or this is stand alone drive unit, which is connected to standard EXDOS card?

It is a possibility. I was given an Oric Atmos while at a friends in North England, and have ordered a PAL PC TV Tuner Card so I can see the screen! If this works well, then I may consider getting my Enterprise 128 setup sent over.

Also, need to totally tidy up my computer room to make more room.
Last weekend I cleaned my garage - the computer room is the next major project, and I plan taking upto a week off work to do this - reorganise!!!.

Here is a pic of my current setup...

From left to right screens....
Amiga 1200 tower
HP Pavilion PC Win98 (unit is under the desk)
AMD64 PC WinXP (unit is the blue one on the far right)
Combo TV/DVD (with VHS player under the TV)
