Logos, labels and other pics for printing or editing
« on: 2016.December.18. 18:05:37 »
I've sorted out the mess at my PC and found few files what I've made.

Various EP Logos (made from scratch and have vectors files):

Function Keys Label I have posted here: https://enterpriseforever.com/other-topics/my-enterprise-64-128-the-story/msg32312/#msg32312

Label for SD card adapter:
(for printing)

this is a very first and rough version of a printable 3d modell of ep
it is simply projected down (so the bottom is flat), because the original model is unprintable

Can you also make EP64 logo?

I made that logo too, but it lost from attachments.
(I'll trying not to breaking post again :) )

Also attach missed SD-card cartridge label

And, by the way, font used for text labels in EP style: "Geoslb712mediumc Bt Regular"
Or sometimes all "Geoslb712" fonts family.
You can see that font here: http://fontsgeek.com/fonts/GeoSlb712MediumC-BT-Regular

I have found that the complete name is Geometric Slabserif 712 Medium BitStream Regular, a commercial font  made as a modern approach to a font made on 1934, Monotype Rockwell.

Quote
"The Bitstream version of Monotype Rockwell, 1934.

Twentieth-century design influence is revealed in strokes of more even weight than in the original nineteenth-century Egyptians or Slab Serifs.

Rockwell is a prime example of this twentieth-century approach. It seems to be a simple Constructivist geometric sans with strong square slab serifs added to. Angular terminals make its sturdy design particular sparkling. It is a strong face for headlines and posters, and is legible in very short text blocks.

Cyrillic version was developed at ParaType in 2000 by Isay Slutsker and Manvel Shmavonyan."

I think it will be easier to find a free "Monotype Rockwell, 1934" than a free "Geoslb712".

I didn't made such research, but I was sure, that Geo Slabserif isn't original font, that used in printed materials for EP.

Me too :) So, will repeat:

I only watched the model. Can I have a comment ?
Can you export the model in a higher resolution ?
When you enlarge the current model texts are blurred.

Of course the Header of the Enterprise official notes, but I have cut it from Zozo's Enterprise information page, so it has a low resolution.

I think that this special "ENTERPRISE" typeface was created specially for the computer, I have not seen it on other place. The ELAN logo seems more like a solid Monotype Rockwell crossed by lines.  But with only four letters it is difficult to judge...

On the other side, the EP logo is an octagonal font, very different from the Rockwell type.
