I wonder why...was the Spectrum unavailable in Hungary? Or more expensive?
I started a new topic for these questions.
The main reason: lack of Enterprise games! We know only about 100 games released officialy to the Enterprise. Many of them are official Spectrum conversion (multiplatform developement).
Todays noticed what we known as original Enterprise program is a CPC conversion (multiplatform developement).
Back in the time: 20000 machnies sold, but only few programs in the markets.
But our friends with Spectrum (the CPC was totaly unknow at those years in Hungary) have many-many-many games.
Officialy released instructions for the sw developers how to modify Spectrum programs to run on the Enterprise. (I think the Enterprise Computers wanted attract the Spectrum developers in order that they release games also to the EP.)
These instructions known in Hungary, the Hungarian Spectrum magazine wrote articles about it.
Then lots of Enterprise users started converting Spactrum programs to Enterprise, because it is not too hard.
But writing a complete new game is hard work, programing is not enough, a lot of talent for the graphics, music, story is needed! (For example I do not have talent for these, this is the reason why I always make a system programming.)
