Hello Enterprise Forever!
« on: 2007.March.05. 18:25:57 »
Hi, i am a new Enterprise user. Its a relief to find this forum!  :ds_icon_cheesygrin:

Can anyone give me a few pointers on things like where can i find software, games and so on that i can use with my real EP? i have looked at http://enterprise.8bit.hu/ and can see various docs but theres also a list of games. How can i convert these back to audio to play into a real EP?

I also found http://www.epte.8m.com/ which is a tape player emulator but the .tap files appear to be missing, e.g. http://www.extra.hu/epte/rambtap.zip.

Final, on in the 'download' section of this forum i see this post:

http://enterpriseforever.com/index.php?action=downloads&d=EP_programok_omlesztve

which appears to be packed with zips, is this a collection of software? when i try and download them i get a message 'hacking attempt...'.

Any help would be great.

Jack

Welcome here!
Look at this!

You can download EP games in RAR format. Simpy unpack them, copy them into a floppy disk and insert the disk into the Enterprise floppy drive.
If you don't have any floppy drive for your Enterprise, the thing is more difficult, I think the other forum members are more clever than I am about how to make tape sounds for your Enterprise.

More EP stuff:
ep128.hu
On the left you can chose Utils, Demos to download.
Hope this helped you.

Hi, i am a new Enterprise user.
It's great! Welcome here!

I also found http://www.epte.8m.com/ which is a tape player emulator but the .tap files appear to be missing, e.g.
Can you make your own tap files. Right click on the tape picture, conversion, build .TAP file.

which appears to be packed with zips, is this a collection of software? when i try and download them i get a message 'hacking attempt...'.
Hmmm... little bug in the new forum software :-) I will write to the webmaster.

Other tape emulation program:
TAPIR
(GTK+ 2 Runtime Environment needed)
It is more usable, you can easy rearrange the files in the TAP files. (The file order is important, because the TAPE is not a random access device. The most of programs use these file order: .COM, .SCR, .PRG)
From this program, you can save to the directly to WAV files.

And you can burn the WAV files to CD, and use your Diskman as tape for EP :-)

Wow! thats just what i was looking for!!!

thanks to zozosoft and szipucsu for your friendly welcome.

i think i understand all the instructions you have so kindly written out for me  :ds_icon_cheesygrin:

Quote
copy them into a floppy disk and insert the disk into the Enterprise floppy drive.

Are the floppy drive systems rare? i would love to own one. even make one. like the Simple IDE Interface for the ZX Spectrum.

i am a novice hardware hacker so machine interfaces/leads and other stuff is one of my favourite pass times so if there is anything specific (projects or web sites in English) that you guys can recommend.

Scanned PCB of the Microteam card (component side)
Scanned PCB of the Microteam card (solder side)

Do you want it in higher resolution? Can you make PCBs from these?

Thanks again, they are fine thanks. However it may be a little beyond my abilities. Would you be putting the IDE prototype into production?

Flash card storage devices seem be the latest craze; divIDE+ for the Spectrum, MMC64 for the Commodore 64, SatanDisk for the Atari ST and GoMMC for the BBC micro. i have a few of them already. does anyone have any plans to to produce a similar device for the EP?

Also i cant seem to open this PDF;

http://ep.homeserver.hu/PDF/Enterprise_Programming_Guide.pdf

Which appears to be the same as the one on http://enterprise.8bit.hu/  which is also damaged - what is the difference between these two sites?

Now try it again!

This is one page. The first domain is the 8bit.hu, but about 1 years ago the 8bit.hu is expired. Then the page is moved to another server, this is the homeserver.hu. Now I see, the 8bit.hu is restarted.

Yep, that fixed it - thanks.

So is anyone making Floppy/IDE/Flash card devices for the EP, like so many other micros?
