General Enterprise software questions
« on: 2014.January.30. 02:02:37 »
Something NOT RELATED with your Manager:

Some programs don't work well with my actual EP configuration:

DTM.EXT no more works as a loader(DTM.COM was), it acts now as a command, once installed it now needs to be followed by the name of the music archive.

PT3 Player loads but exits abruptly.
I've probed command mode like with DTM extension but it refuses to work.
It isn't named START nor EXDOS.INI but it has the autoboot attribute and the EP tries to execute at boot (but fails again).

What are those SDD.HFE images I can't read?
By the names they seem Speccy images.
Are they for your "Hardware Spectrum Emulator"?

I think DTM has more versions. One for the Enterprise with EXDOS, one for the Enterprise without EXDOS (tape config). I don't exactly know where you can download these two versions from.

No problem with DTM as I can use the old command version, but I like more extensions....

It is for real ZX Spectrum with SpeccyDOS interface.

I bought recently a "Interface 1bis" from Dan Antohi, Sud-Africa!

https://sites.google.com/site/interface1bis/home

It is little, very little and is compatible with the original ZX Interface 1, has micro SD card reader, Kempston and  Mouse(really PS/2) connectors, extended basic to take advantages of the new capabilities, and over all, a host mode with a PC microUSB cable...

But it stores the files on simulated Microdrives, and then your SDD images don't work directly. It has also a potent manager to pick image games from the PC side to the SD card(Microdrives), and a snapshot capture feature.

For 44 Euro it seems very cheap...

DTM and PT3 also use FILE extension (file selection utility) which are not included in your ROM configuration.
I will search loadable version, but the best way the Flash ROM expansion what we talked some days ago, then you can add this extension to your config (and many more).

Ah, a file extension launcher like in Windows. That explains the behaviour of players.

I have a FILE.EXT but is from from 2007. Is it updated? I will test it.

Now FILE works fine, like your excellent PT3 player!

Your PT3 player has louder(better) volume than DTM player(it makes necessary to pump it up at the TV).

Good job!

For the Eprom Programmer,  have you used an old ISA card connector and then soldered it to a veroboard(stripboard)?

I'm ready for the schematics.

Yes, but only for the prototype testing. Later modified existing cards. I wrote all informations to the EPROM... topic.
