...What do you know about the Enterprise story in the SU?
We know from a interview with the director of the Hungarian Enterprise Distribution, about 3000 machines sold in the SU. Mostly used as school computer. And planed to assembly Enterprise machines in SU, but I think it is never realized.
My one is from Hungary - we lived in BudaPest some years, when I was at school :)Great :-)
The old good wars :) currently Intel vs. AMD, Nvidia vs. Ati, Windows vs. Linux and etc :-)
With the help of some mates we've gave strong concurrency to Commodores guys
They stay as importer for E, peripherals, software and documentation. Also, they print articles with dumps of small programs they wrote, EXOS & IS-BASIC documentation & examples of how to use it, make lotteries & more. I saw near 12 (one year subscription) number of magazines, in which there were some pages dedicated to E.These are released in Russian? Do you have any of these?
That years I've hear rumors 'bout E in school, but I've never known was that truth. Now I readed again the mentoined Hungarian interview (http://ep.homeserver.hu/Dokumentacio/Cikkek/Picture/1991-marc-15.jpg), it is talking about schools in Kazakhstan.
...These are released in Russian? Do you have any of these?...No, it seems to be ordinal English or German (with two langs error messages) computers. Later, that guys burned Cyrillic fonts in EXOS ROM (chars 128-159, capital and small letters, but only that, which are different in glypth from latin). I haven't such computer, however I've tried to win it in their lottery, but I've responded too late.
...it is talking about schools in Kazakhstan...They're lucky! Meanwhile, the most popular enthusiastic computer in ex-SU was Spectrum. There are many radio and computer amateurs, who has constructed Speccies by their hands. Many small enterprises developed their own PCB versions and some kind of extensions. Guess, how many of them know, what means "ENTERPRISE" ? :)
...When I searched the internet about the Enterprise I found some Russian forums where talking about the Enterprise 128. But I not understood what :(You can post me the links to that messages, and I will translate them in-brief. However, only 1-to-1000 targets from google results by "E..." leads to some E-related. I's a very-very rare now :) At now, google filled with Sun Enterprise Servers, and others...
It's the cover of the near-the-first issue of "Machinery to Youth" magazine, which contain E-related material.Woooooowwwww!!!! Fantastic!!!!!!
...Can anyone translate into English?...There is a title "Machinery to Youth" at the top, and "Win the chase with the five-headed Questionnaire, and the ENTERPRISE world will be opened to You (competition terms on p. 1)".
I understand (i'm from Russia)Welcome here!
I can find magazine "Machinery to Youth" if you need it..Yes we want it!
PS: my English is bad, i fogot it :)No problem!
Russian forum (http://solaris.natm.ru/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8496), anyone understood it?
I'm trying to use ep128 emulator but can't open any images yet.In the Options/Disk/Configure menu you can select the floppy image.
BTW i want to find a game about space ship that travels around the planet and explore caves.
Welcome in the forum! In the Options/Disk/Configure menu you can select the floppy image.
Maybe Academy? Ringwars? Elite?
Hi! I mounted a floppy image but it's empty. How to create a proper image?Virtual floppy drive (http://www.ep128.hu/Emu/VFD21.rar) might do.
I found the game i wanted to play - it's cyberun http://www.crashonline.org.uk/28/cyberun.htmI never could reach anything in this game, it was destroyed before going to the cave, it was awful :D
EP_ide126m: hard disk image with 4 partitions filled with lot of programs. For use it need to load any configuration in the ep128emu which are contains the IDE ROM. (Hard disk partition can accessed as F:, G:, etc on Enterprise)
I choose "EP_640k_EXOS231_IDE_utils" as a configuration file (is this the only one with IDE?) after that "options - disk - configure - IDE " i put that large image file. What next? Please tell me how to access the data using your emulator.Restart the emulated machine, Machine/Reset/Force reset
And in the Basic go to drive F:
:)
What i need to type to do so?
:F:
You can use DOS commands but you have to place : before the command.
Thanks! I just need to type : before any command.Yes :)
