...What do you know about the Enterprise story in the SU?
We know from a interview with the director of the Hungarian Enterprise Distribution, about 3000 machines sold in the SU. Mostly used as school computer. And planed to assembly Enterprise machines in SU, but I think it is never realized.
Hello, all,
I didn't expect that ENTERPRISE can be so popular today - it's a wondering
My one is from Hungary - we lived in BudaPest some years, when I was at school
With the help of some mates we've gave strong concurrency to Commodores guys
That years ENTERPRISEs enters SU with the help of people, who visit Hungary. Among advantages (low price, excellent technical features) there was one disadvantage - a little number of software products. Therefore, a lot of computers went to second-hand stores in a complete with some games tapes. By the way, that times, second-hands was the only way to buy E in SU.
In the beginning of 90th, there was an enthusiastic group in "Machinery to Youth" (an magazine, which published in Moscow), which tries to give a popularity to E. They stay as importer for E, peripherals, software and documentation. Also, they print articles with dumps of small programs they wrote, EXOS & IS-BASIC documentation & examples of how to use it, make lotteries & more. I saw near 12 (one year subscription) number of magazines, in which there were some pages dedicated to E. But there was more.
Maybe that guys bought all ware from H. E. D. ? But as far as I remember, it was German' supplier.
That years I've hear rumors 'bout E in school, but I've never known was that truth. There were neither Google, nor internet
Later, after 2000, I've tried to email sometimes to magazine's editorials, to find out where all that was, but haven't any responses
Their modern site doesn't contain anything related to E.
