I`ve found some tapes of the era in which my EP was brand new and I thought I was the sole owner in Spain ...

For now I only can bring pictures of the listings. I can hardly understand them now....

This curious clock still loads and works. I coded it without an assembler....:

It seems to look for the exact memory address of the 0 line of the screen and then injects an interrupt subrutine to show a digital clock. Clumsy Zozotools?
-------------------

¿Zozotools chapuceras?

I've found the rest of  manuals of my Enterprise, lost long ago(about a little of 15 years or more...). Also the demonstration cassette.

They are the standard English ones, except a translation to Spanish of the English Setup Guide.

Now I'm scanning it.

Just in case it can't be downloaded from Dropbox I have put a copy on the FTP server.

Its name is "Manual de Servicio.rar".

Awesome. I have downloaded it and I am reading it.
Anyway, if you decrease the color depth of the pictures and save them in png format you can get much smaller file sizes.

I know, but I hope somebody can make a PDF to put it in the archive. The resolution can be lowered then.

The translation isn't the best...

Lo se, pero espero que alguien haga un PDF para ponerlo en el archivo. La resolución podrá ser cambiada entonces.

Here in Spain at the mid eighties, the only Enterprise keyboard layout offered by the sellers was English, even when the German keyboard layout is almost the same as the Spanish one.

Probably this happened because Proeinsa was the direct distributor from the UK matrix of the Enterprise Computers Ltd. company, not from the German subsidiary.

To Hungary arrived a higher percentage of German Enterprises compared to the number of British ones, and today the bulk of the offered Enterprises on Ebay or Vatera(Hungarian Ebay-like web page), have German keyboard layout.

I have discovered that some of my new colleagues in Spain are owners of German Enterprises. Also, soon I will own one myself.

The ESP.rom translation, adapted long ago from the HUN.rom, don't apply to German computers only because the Spanish keys where "weird-adapted" by me to the UK layout my old EP has.

I have fixed it for German models, but as it can't be named ESP.rom because there are a huge "lot" of EPs that use that Rom, I have named the fixed one as ESB,rom(the B is from BRD).

It has some differences with the German BRD.rom. Why a German Enterprise must have an optional UK layout where the principal keys are on the wrong place?

Then, for the UK layout I have used the German one, but changing the German only keys by their British counterpart. Also the # character of the German has been substituted by the @ character of the British.

And on the ESP layout I have also used the German one, but with the tilde and diaeresis vocals on secondary keys near the Enter key. The Ñ character, very important on the Spanish language, has been put on its deserved place at the Spanish layout, just at the right to the L character. I have left the Pound(£) symbol on Shift+3 like in the original UK layout, because I am used to it, and because I don't use the "·" character on the PCs. May be an Euro (€) symbol could have been better, but then we also would think on the effects caused by Y2K on our loved computers...

Of course I am open to reasonable suggestions not involving to start again the Tetris game with the keyboard keys....

Here I put scans from a Spanish magazine, "ZX" January 1986. It is an article comparing the available 128K models from various makers. Of course, being a Sinclair specialised magazine,  for them the winner was the QL...

It is funny because it includes the price of the computers, one EP128 costing 83900 Pts(about 504 Euros at actual change....).

The scans come from Retrowiki:

Thanks!

Before buying your Enterprise where did you hear/read about it? In a Spanish or UK magazine?

I remember to read a review on a Spanish magazine, but don't remember the name.

My father and I bought the Enterprise and a Rithemann printer on 1986, and my trip to London was in June 1987, the year my sister got married.

83.900 Pesetas for the EP alone where a lot of money that years, but as we used the EP to make bills, I tried to find an EXDOS unit on the trip to London. Of course I didn't find it...

You can't read the EP review, but there is a detail I didn't know: They also talk about the EP64, so it is possible that the first model was also offered in Spain by Proeinsa the year before.

The rest is only Bla-bla copied from the EP adverts.
