And the Base Unit: where can you attach the other extensions?
I never hear about the Base unit, but many years ago, when I analized the
EXDOS schematic drawing , I see too complex address decoding mechanism. I assumed this is for some bus extender hw.
(This complex address decoding do this: the cards not have fixed memory and I/O addresses, the bus slots have 3 identify bits, and the cards use this bits, and generate unique addresses for each slots. Plug&play in 1985!
