@endi, I will find out the cosy tomorrow. After speaking to the chap, I don't think that it
will be very expensive.

He said the printer costs 0.18 Euro an hour to print and it costs 15 Euro for
a Kg bag of plastic.

I just need to find out how long it took to print and how much plastic was used....

Yes they do look shiny, but they seem to have a non slip coating as they are nice to use.

There is some refinement to do, as the 2 I have are prototypes, but he is going to look more
into it when he has some spare time.  He is now fully booked for the next few weeks.

As for the price, well he has quoted approximately £1.50 each, which I think is a good price.  
The colours he has available at the moment are: Red, Yellow, White, Black and Gold.

I am hoping more colours to follows as I gave him a photo of the EP64 and showed him
the green and blue.

Maybe we can make the 3D printed joy caps not shiny with simply some sand-cloth ... picking the joy-cap to a spindle of a slow and evenly rotating motor, and keep the sand-cloth to it. Then fine scratches arise on the surface of the joy cap, and with an enough fine sand-cloth, that will be a matte surface ...

Could it work ?

The 2 that I have had done are OK to use, they seem to have some 'grip' built into
the quality of the plastic and as such, do not slip at all...

That's very cool, did a batch of these ever get printed? I'd certainly be happy to buy a few! You could probably make a good few sales on eBay as well...
