Title: Open Source Scan Converter (OSSC)
Post by: heloplan on 2022.April.09. 08:24:31

Spectrum ZX esetén ezeket (https://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=Spectrum#OSSC_Specific_settings) a módosításokat javasolják)?

I recently purchased an OSSC (v1.7 (https://videogameperfection.com/products/open-source-scan-converter/)) scan coverter to use with a Dell UltraSharp 2007FP (4:3, IPS) monitor. Since this display has no HDMI connector, it is running via DVI, after firmware update (v0.90) I did not modified the factory settings, I only changed the TX mode (https://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php/OSSC#TX_mode) option from HDMI (RGB) to DVI. The VGA cable was made by Judge, this is what I'm currently using, but I also have a SCART cable.

Basically the picture is nice with minimal "jitter", so I was wondering if anyone has experience with OSSC, maybe you could share the Enterprise specific profile (e.g. for Spectrum ZX these (https://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=Spectrum#OSSC_Specific_settings) modifications are recommended)?

Sorry, only in English.

There is a cheaper alternative to OSCC: GBSControl (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiYwL-Zu473AhUogP0HHZ60BTcQFnoECAoQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Framapcsx2%2Fgbs-control&usg=AOvVaw1ZZGlrOW_BqSUmISkwS6IC).

It only converts to VGA, but makes a very good job as Scandoubler.

It consist on a cheap chinese RGB-VGA converter GBS-82xx with crap firmware externally controled by an ESP8266 WiFi module with custom firmware.

I have made me one for about 50€. To control it you must connect your phone or tablet to a Wifi zone and web page that is created by the Wifi module.

There are a lot of videos on Youtube about it, even comparing it to an OSCC.

Thank you for the feedback, I have a high level of knowledge regarding the GBSControl scandoubler, but in the end I decided to use the OSSC because I might use it for other purposes in the future. I would therefore be particularly interested in the experiences of dedicated users with OSSC.

Ok, sorry. Yes it is a bit off-topic....

I don't want to disturb.
