In the latest developments threard there is talk of IDE interfaces. What is the scope of this project, will boards be manufactured and available to EP users like me?  :ds_icon_cheesygrin:

NOrmally any new items are made available to the EP Users here.

I am currently trying to get a Spectrum Emulator built and
manufactured and once this is done then it will be made
available here......

Yes Tricky, you only tried to buy an elephant. But nobody has one. (But I will get one for you if you pay me 20% gain.) But if you are not a good businessman enough to understand what a good business I offer you, you can ask here in english about the IDE card, those people who know the answer will understand english questions. :)

Zozo sent me an English update so know where we are with the IDE controller card.

If you think the translation above is bad - think happy thoughts - I have to use it to read most the threads on the forum

Some summary for the non hungarian users about the IDE project:

Previously we talked about All-In-One interface, wich are contains Floppy+IDE+RAM+etc in one card. I afraid this project never will be finished  :smt089 :smt089 :smt089 because the member who are expert in the modern programable logical devices not have any time for Enterprise projects :-(

But the users are impatient and want a IDE interface at any way :-)

I produced 10 cards using the prototype card design. (see photos in the Hungarian forum)
And now with the first users started a beta testing the IDE softwares. After it is enought stable then more cards will be produced.

About the software: some compatibility issuses found during the beta testing with the older hard disk (about 100-200 MB sizes, generaly Quantum Fireball 540 or newest is working fine)
Some developing needed in the EP FDISK for the PC compatibility, because the Microsoft programs not using the Microsoft standards...
