Guys,
I know their is a company in the UK who will do a production run of Enterprise Membranes but with a minimum of 500. I've asked them to let me know how much a production run would cost - as I cant see many people outside of this forum needing one. The question is - do people need a new membrane or two and how much (in UK pounds) would we be prepared to pay?
I dont want to start a business selling them but happy to find out if the forum as a group can do a deal for them.
Does anyone want new membranes ???

Yes, but there is a similar project in Hungarian forum, I do not know the status of this topic, may be Zozosoft can answer it.
By the way I would buy 2 membrane if the cost is acceptable.

I afraid very hopeless to found buyer for 500 membranes. Except if it is very cheap and all EP owner will buy 10-20 membranes for as spare :-)

I found Hungarian company which is few years ago produced keyboard membranes for Sinclair and Enterprise machines.
Now about 20 semi-finished EP membranes exist. For finishing them needed purchasing some materials.
The estimated price is a 8-11 GBP/membranes (+shipping). But the final price will be calculated when the project is finished.
The project will be started after the summer holidays.
Now we have Hungarian buyers for about 15 membranes.
But least one reserved for you, Tricky! :-)

Thanks Zozo :D I think the way the membranes die - we need as many as possible :D But one will at least get my EP128 back up and running !!
I've had a reply from rwapservices regarding the membranes - 500 is indeed the minimum quantity with costs around £12.50 per membrane plus shipping - or £6000 plus shipping in total :shock:
So looks like thats a non-starter unless demand picks up - I would happily buy a few for spares - but not 400+ :lol:

Is this project active now ? I will buy two membranes...
At now, I've found a local manufacturer (in Kyiv, Ukraine), who can do small amounts (by the phone, they say they can start from 5 pieces) of matrices. Here is their site (available only in Ukrainian and Russian): http://elektronmash.kiev.ua/plivkovi_virobi.html
They say that final price will be known only after they saw drawings and know the amount required. So, I'll draw the keyboard layout, and send it to them.
One thing I want to know - is there interest for such keyboards ? Do somebody needs it ?
