Enterprise SD Interface

Hello,

I have just come into possission of an Enterprise 64 and now want to be able to attach some type of mass storage device to it.

Does anyone know if details exist on how to build an SD Interface for the Enterprise?  I see that an interface existsed at one point in time, but it does not seem to be available anywmore, so I was hoping that there might be links to documentation that outlined how to make one as a DIY project.

I gave up gently asking him every six months after a few years.  Initially got a response, but then nothing.  I even offered to pre-pay for several interfaces as there's a lot of interest for them here in Australia at least.

Luckily I was offered one second hand.

Please don't take this as disparaging anyone - I know what it's like when you get busy and people are pestering you for something.

It would be awesome if the design, or some design, were made open source so that people can make their own if the original person isn't able to.

Hi to all.
I recently bought a EP SD Interface.
I prepared a sd micro image with a
500mb vhd image and it works  ok.
My problem is that few programs seems
to work ok, most of them they
just show a black screen when i select them.
Is there something i must do to enjoy the programs?
I have a 64 Enterprise.

I suggest to try running the games from this list. Unfortunately, AFAIK, most Enterprise programmes were not written for the Enterprise 64 or made compatible with it.

Congratulation :)
The problem is that most old speccy converions uses fix memory pages from the EP128 config, so if you add a memory expansion to your EP64 and the expansion does not cover F8-FB segments then these programs will not work either.
Most of the "new" programs needs more than 64KB RAM, but will work with any RAM expansion.
And yes, there are few programs which are working on EP64 there are 2 reasons, 1 EP64 is much slower than EP128, because it has only video memory, and the other to build the screen we need extra memory on EP for LPT.

You can try these games too. Download the pack here. They are IS-BASIC programs but some of them are quite good, some of them have been compiled using Zzzip and they are fast.

I'll give it a shot with a ram upgrade and let's hope that more programs will run ok.

Thank you. And that reminds me of some .BAS games i saw. How do i execute a .BAS program from the sd card menu?

As i remember you are not able to load BASIC programs from FILE program, you have to type LOAD"prgname.bas"
