Enterprise PSU replacement?
« on: 2021.November.30. 23:30:21 »
Hi friends, it sounds really strange, but now I am without any EP PSU. I don't know if my old one was broken, but I don't have anymore. Now I wonder how I can replace it. Is it possible to use a combination of switching power supplys? But how to make the connector?
Can't wait to power up my EP again (after nearly 2 years) but this is really a little bit crazy.

Hallo!

If you have one, you can use the ZX Spectrum +2 (gray model) power supply.

I just tested my first post with google translate. The quality of the translation to english was very good. I tried to translate it to hungarian as well , and I was surprised how undersandable the sentences were. That was not the case about 5-10 years ago, especially with hungarian.

You send to me with Edoz's machine your faulty PSU. I tested it, and it is really dead. It is only can be repaired with a dirty hack. Then you say, don't need it back, you will buy modern replacement. At this time we selected one type from German webshops.
9V, 2A or more, 5.5x2.1mm plug. Polarity are very important: positive at outside! (Todays this is often called as reverse polarity.)

Thanks a lot for your help!
Yes, your text is very good to read, Tuby! :)

I completely forgot about it, that I gave it to Edo/Zozo years ago

Two new PSUs arrived today, one is the same like Tuby suggested, the other one is a multi-voltage PSU with up to 3A and switchable polarity:

Both are working fine, my Enterprise is alive again, thanks! :)
