It's ok. But I think these things (EDIT command, Editor displays number in the Status Line, INFO list program sizes and first line of each program) are ready in the FORTH before the multiple BASIC programs idea come. Because in the FORTH these are natural parts of the language.
When the multiple programs decided, then you started thinking how to do it?
It is very logical if you used "1 EDIT" in the FORTH then put "EDIT 1" to BASIC. And also the other things (status line number, INFO list).
Yes the status line & INFO are clearly influenced by each other but I couldn't say for sure which came first...but I would guess BASIC - that was in a more advanced state of development and also was more important to be finished first. At least there is a consistent look :)

hi All

I specifically remember three people from Enterprise computers, when at Hoxton Street,London.

Gerald morgan, who i think was a programmer/tech guy.

I did some googling, and found this http://enterprise.iko.hu/technical/Enterprise-AppNote-24.pdf - it mentions Gerald directly

Steve Groves, Sales Manager/spokesperson (i think) - i remember ,he was very kind to us and gave me his telephone number and I remember it today, but it was before British Telecom changed all the local exchange's and prefixed the 0xxx dialling codes with 01,

Also Keith elliott, i think he was Marketing but again I cannot recall or find him on the internet... presumably he and Steve retired some time ago..

I also found him on this page many years ago. The first contact was succesful, we asked for an "interview". But later when I sent the collected questions we got no answers  Tried to contact a few months later, but also no reply
I don't know what happened.

What do you think Bruce? Can you try again? Probably one old friend can be more successful?

I can only try! Nick worked in Cambridge (where he still is) at the east of the country - I started out there for the first 6 months but then got moved to London where IS's office was and rarely saw him after that. "Old friend" might be exaggerating the situation a bit!

Zozo wanted to say old fellow. Sometimes it's hard to translate our Hungarian words to English, because of the big variation, and every word has his own shade.

I can imagine the following phonecall:
- Hello, this is Mr. Tanner, may I have to speak with Mr. Toop please?
- I am Mr. Toop, what can I do for you?
....
 Like an american film.

We can name a more dozen of films. This is simply a protocol how to call a unknown man. Yes, he is not unknow for Mr. Tanner, but it is better if we are decent.
