I read yesterday in a Hungarian newspaper from 1988, that the director of the hungarian markt-chain called Centrum, has imported
10 000 Pieces Enterprise Computers, and later additionally 3000 Pieces for more price.
He told in this interview, that the delivery was not continuously, they have problems with the importing, and later as they requested additionally 3000 Pieces (and sold them) they did not planned to import more. The big aim after selling the computers was to import some external units (like floppy controller, printer etc.) or do the production of these units in Hungary.
My Father told me, as he was in Budapest in 1987 in one of the Centum chain he took his 3-4 months saved salary, and he bought an Enterprise box. That means only the Box and it's content. He took the computer home, and I assume that the only book which he could use was the hungarian user's manual. He could not do much that time with the computer. Without storage drive, programs and experience.
Some months later, he visited Budapest again, and he bought a Cassette-unit and a Beach-Head game a joystick-adapter with a joystick.
Because in the Centrum chain was not much game to sell, and they was expensive too, the average Users in Hungary started to use the Computer newspaper's advertisement-column, to exchange or simply sell EP games via Cassette.
