Zozo built a SCART for me and we settled on the 220ohm.

Not bad results, although my camera does not do it justice.....

Have you also tried with your EP128? Is there any difference in picture quality?
Your EP64 motherboard is an early ISSUE4 board (with FLAN company name!), and I think your EP128 has a later ISSUE6 board.

Zozo,

Just tried my EP128 and the picture quality again is really good...

Only a slight bleed on the RED, apart from that the colours are vibrant.

This is an 3 year old, 47 inch plasma panel and the difference from using the
RF output is dramatic.  RF was washed out and grainy.  No more!!!! :ds_icon_cheesygrin:

Only to mention that in the http://enterprise.iko.hu/pinouts.htm  the pin A7 from the RGB EP Connector must go to pin 6(Left in) of the SCART connector.

In reality Pin 3 of SCART is Left out, not a big problem in a TV or monitor, as internally ins and outs are joined, but can malfuntion with SCART selectors or other equipments.

I've re-re-arranged my old cable with the 220 Ohm resistances and it looks perfect! Only the sound seems too low with some programs.(sometimes I hear more the internal speaker than the TV... yoke)

I've noticed that usually the sound  coming out of the RGB connector is too low and I have to pump up to the maximum the volume level on the TV. On the other hand, some games or applications sound acceptably high enough to force me to lower some the volume on the TV.


I was thinking to insert a small amplifier into the cable itself(we have power and ground), but I don't know which is the most appropriate to that use.

I just connected stereo speakers to the Tape Out connector. In the old times used a stereo amplifier, todays many speaker sets are available with built in amplifier.
